"Nerf Wars and Post-Its"
Some people don't like Mondays, but if you're playing Nerf Wars for agility, and sticking Post-Its all over your friends to learn about the muscles, I'd say that's a pretty good Monday.
Nerf-Wars at the CGC was not only a great work-out, but also quite entertaining. It combined agility, speed, and for some the "dive and roll" (I was not one of those people doing any diving or rolling....I probably should have been as I did take a few head-shots...). Big thanks to the CGC for setting that up for us! :) In the board room that day we continued to learn about the Muscular System. The activity we did involved writing down the fifteen major muscles on separate Post-Its, and sticking them on each other. I know I know...what a waste of Post-Its!!!! However, I decided that the learning that occurs while the students actually find the muscles on the body far outweighs the day's paper waste.
On Tuesday we continued watching chapter two of Food Inc, and had a great discussion afterwards.
Focus Question: "Do you think people should be informed of what is in their food?".

During the workouts in the wellness room we have now progressed to some Olympic Lifting techniques, specifically the Clean, along with continuing our regular workout routine. It's fantastic to see how far they've all come since the start of the year.
On Wednesday Trygg did his Leadership Activity for the class. It was called Blind-Cound-Off, with the objective being to count as high as you can as a group, with your eyes closed. The tricky part is that if someone speaks at the same time you have to start over. We got to 8! Not too bad :) Thanks Trygg!
They Grey Cup came to Whitehorse! Thanks again to Ashley and Sam for presenting the two gifts on behalf of the school.
