"Quizzes and rope climbs"
It was our last week with LEAD before exams, and it was just as busy as ever. As an end of the year activity we played Nerf Wars on Monday, along with reviewing some material for their quiz on the muscular system. On Tuesday we were in the wellness room for the last time this year, where the 2nd group instructed the rest of the class with their workout. Great job! We also finished our quiz review that day with team #basketballswag winning the trivia.
Wednesday was our testing day....both physically and mentally! Not only did they write their muscular system quiz, but we also re-tested some of the physical aspects (local muscular endurance, muscular power and agility) that we tested at the start of the year to see the improvements. Every single person beat their previous score in at least one test (most beat all three!), which means this semester was a success in that aspect! Thursday was our last Gymnastics day at Polarettes Gymnastics, and once again they were tested on their skills (dive rolls, handstands, rope climbs, etc). Trygg and Jack came in tied for first overall for males with Jake coming in second, and Sam and Khandi taking first and second for the females. It was amazing to see how their gymnastics skills have developed over the semester, as I feel it was an instrumental part of their overall success. Thanks to Polarettes Gymnastics for having us!
It's been a fantastic semester with this group! Have a great summer!
Reminders for next week:
EXAM WEEK!
HAVE A GREAT SUMMER!
